The Forlorn Sanctuary

Awakened in a clear state of mind
Thoughts caressed, though I'm not blind.
Withered trees corrupt the greenery
Into shades of black, the shadow's scenery.

I clench my fists to shatter cold, dark walls
Collapsing stones and broken statues.
So frail without any sense to concern
My mind draws blanks of infinity.

The lonliness is so silent
Do I ever hear her speaking?
Perceptions of the haunted past
My grey and darkened skies creeping.
Light the torch inside of my soul
You reveal this desperation.
Hiding in my anxious breathing
Wished away for all eternity.

Forlorn sanctuary, please come to life
Your everlonging tears of blood.
Is a designated gift for the undead
Suffering the forever silence.
Thru distant words he speaks
Of lonliness and malicious despair.
Endowed into precious lullabies
Faith is indeed a hollow gift.
(Faith is a hollow gift.)

I am left rotting inside here
You ask "Will I ever return?"
There are no screams born to escape
The cries of solitude I yearn.
This realm is filled with lushious sighs
A bitter taste of your soft lips
Devoured throughout the bleak night
Blessed teardrops stream from your eyes.

"Spellbound attentive, you become enthralled
Portraits fall from the cracked walls.
As we master the true artform of love
Your image is left hanging so high above."
