Betty Bones

It happened late one summer night
She met a drifter with demon's eyes
The youg and pretty, betty jones

He took her out behind the alley
Carved away all of her beauty
Now they call her betty bones

Now take a look at miss betty bones
The flesh ripped clean from her face is all gone
Taken away by a murderous knife
Out back behind the alley in the pale moonlight

She was kicking and screaming begging for death
As he hacked off her ears but he wasn't done yet
Took a leg and an arm skinned the girl alive
And she cried, oh she cried

Oh my miss betty bones
Still alive with the skin all gone
Under the moonlight she cries
Please just leave'er alone
That's betty bones

He took her flesh but he left her alive
Cut her tongue and a pretty green eye
No one was around to hear her cries
In the night, oh she cried

Oh my miss betty bones
Still alive with the skin all gone
Under the moonlight she cries
Please just leave'er alone
That's betty bones

Oh betty jones
Don't you open your eye
Well she cried into the night
Oh the girl fought for her life

Oh my miss betty bones
Still alive with the skin all gone
Under the moonlight she cries
Please just leave'er alone
That's betty bones

Oh poor miss betty bones
Left for dead by the side of the road
Under the moonlight she lies
Please just leave'er alone
That's betty bones
That's betty bones
That's betty bones
Oh betty!
